This 14pcs set can be used to test most cars and trucks cooling systems for leaks including head gasket coolant leaks. This set includes thermometer and various sizes of radiator or coolant reservoir caps with pressure pump connectors. The pump creates positive pressure inside the system; if the system is leaking the gauge will not hold the pressure, you may also hear or see the source of leak if accessible. Before testing the system; make sure the cooling system is cold, add coolant fluid to the correct level and do not exceed 20PSI or your car factory maximum pressure to prevent damage to your cooling system or the pressure pump. At the end of the snap-on hose connector there is a release pressure valve to release positive pressure before disconnecting the tool from coolant radiator or reservoir to prevent coolant spill.
